Fall is in the air or at least in theory, here in Oklahoma it’s still 80 degrees but, whatever. Anyway, we can still do fall-like things and almost all of my fall craft projects involve glitter.
This is the world’s easiest craft project but it’s also packed full of fun because well, you know, there’s glitter involved. I have added a video of the project to the bottom of this post as well, I had a blast shooting this one for GEB America!
Super Fine Glitter I used Martha Stewart’s simply because I love it.
Simply layer on the Mod Podge. If you haven’t used this before, you’ve been missing out. 🙂 It comes in gloss, matte and I believe a glitter finish of its own.
Then, the fun part, sprinkle on the glitter. Did you know I tried to change my name to Glitter in the third grade? Yep, made everyone call me that for a whole year. No judgment. I mean, how was I supposed to know Mariah Carey would come out with that movie?
And, there you have it, a glitter pumpkin! Perfect for a fall dinner table or right by your front door.
I actually decorated half of the pumpkin here, the Mod Podge will dry clear so it leaves a shimmery top. Then, I mixed that with a few other pumpkins I covered fully in glitter. It’s adorable. These would be great class projects as well if you teach younger kids. I taught pre-k for a number of years and I think my kids would have had a blast with this project.
